Friday Night Sewing: Flurry

Standard

So last night, Ingrid and I decided to start our first Christmas Quilt. We both love the Flurry pattern so much and have been dying to get started. I was the hold up, since I was still gathering fabric. My quilt shops aren’t carrying the Flurry line from Moda, so I’ve gotten some fabric from Ready, Set, Snow instead. I still need another aqua fat quarter, though. Ingrid’s mom recently caught the quilting bug and decided to sew with us.  Her blocks looked great from the pictures I saw. Maybe Ingrid will post pictures of hers and her mom’s.

I can’t stress enough how much I love this pattern. The blocks are so cute and come together so quickly! I was able to cut and sew 4 blocks last night. I probably would have kept going, but it was getting late. Lil Penguin also loved the blocks. Maybe I’ll make him a quilt, too.
