W.I.P Wednesday 2.3

Standard

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

I’ve had a pretty productive week. I spent quite some time working on my Etsy shop. I revamped some listings and added international shipping to some items. I am working towards having international shipping on all my items. I have also been working on some embroidery patterns. I am hoping to have some of you test out the patterns for me in the near future. Stay tuned for more details in the next few weeks.

Completed Projects:

Let’s Go Fly a Kite

My first Artist Trading Card. I love it so much and it will be so hard to part with it when it sells. Maybe I should make some business cards or postcards with the image on it.

Magnets for RATZ swap- I picked the best 6 and mailed those. I hope my partner likes them!

Yo-yo hair clips for a sweet little girl’s birthday- forgot to take a pic :(
The tutorial I used can be found here.

Fat quarter swap bundle and notions-  I got it ready and mailed off.

New Project

Cup o’ Joe mug rug- I am embroidering a coffee cup right now and I’m keeping under wraps until the top is done.

In progress:

Quilts for Kids cupcake quilt- I have the 4 patches done and now I can sew all the pieces together to make the top.

On the back burner:

Flurry Quilt
Orchard Path Pouch
Farmer’s Wife blocks
Americana BOM quilt

W.I.P Wednesday #2.2

Standard

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

This week has flown by! Sadly, I really have not had much sewing time. I did, however, organize my sewing area in the dining room. It’s still a work in progress, but at least I can easily find things now. After tidying, one thing  became very clear. My U.F.O basket is full! Completely full.  Apparently I really need to work on that. My new mantra will be “No more new projects”, at least until I finish some UFOs!

New Projects:

I just received my package from Quilts for Kids. I’m very excited and can’t wait to get started. It’s a really great cause and they send you the materials for free.

In Progress:

I’m almost finished with my magnets. After making hexies last week, I thought they would make cute magnets, too. So I have 2 sets basted and ready to become magnets. I finished stitching up 2 of the log cabins, but only 1 is sticking to my fridge! So I have to redo one :(

I got the pattern and fabric cut out for the Orchard Path pouch. But, I need to go to the store for a matching zipper and some flusible fleece before I can finish it.

Ongoing Projects:

Orchard Path Pouch
Farmer’s Wife blocks
Americana BOM quilt
Flurry Quilt

Finished Projects:

3 Tee Shirt Canvas prints

Hello, Stranger

Standard

I can’t believe how long it has been since my last post. So much has been happening around here. First, Gigi came and spent 9 days with us. We took her all over the place and wore ourselves out. After a few days of recovery, sickness hit out house. Mr. Penguin was sick with a cold for about a week and then I had a fierce allergy attack. Lil Penguin remained healthy and was great company for us sickies.

After all that I got busy on Christmas presents and then I had to start planning for my first solo Thanksgiving. So I have for you some pictures of what I have been working on. Enjoy!
